CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Students at Dohn Community High School will not return to their building, as the school has announced an early closure due to financial difficulties.
Originally scheduled to close at the end of the school year, the high school will now shut its doors on Monday.
School leaders cited "insurmountable financial challenges" as the reason for the accelerated closure. In a letter to families, they explained the decision and assured that efforts are underway to assist families in finding new schools for their children. Additionally, they are working to ensure that seniors will still be able to graduate despite the abrupt change.
The school was on spring break this week, and the announcement has left many families scrambling to make alternative arrangements.
